Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters were called to a fire in a hotel on Manchester Street in Marylebone this morning. A small part of the basement of the four storey hotel was damaged by the fire. Around 50 people were evacuated from the hotel as a precaution but no one was injured.
The Brigade was called at 0745 and the fire was under control by 0920. Firefighters from Soho and Paddington were at the scene and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
